Rebecca Steckler
Executive Director
Rebecca Steckler has over 25 years in non-profit executive leadership, including roles as Executive Director, Deputy Executive Director, Chief Financial Officer, and Chief Administrative Officer. In addition, she holds an MBA from Seattle University and is a licensed attorney.
Rebecca focuses on day-to-day operations, staff management, and cultivation efforts support. Senior Legal Services benefits from her expertise in organizational development as she helps the Board of Directors and staff identify actions that can further the achievement of our mission and Strategic Plan.
Rosalina Nunez Manfreda
Supervising Attorney
Rosalina Manfreda is a Supervising Attorney with over 14 years of experience in civil matters including Elder Abuse, Evictions, Bankruptcy, Public Benefits and Family Law.
Robert Taren
Social Security Disability Senior Attorney
Robert Ellis Taren is one of the steadfast foundations of Senior Legal Services, and after several decades on our board, we are proud to once again have him on staff as a Social Security Disability Senior Attorney. Bob is a product of Omaha, Nebraska, graduating from Creighton University School of Law in 1974, where he was awarded a Reginal Heber Smith Community Lawyer Fellowship with Vermont Legal Aid. He came to California in 1977, passing the Bar and began his employment with Senior Legal Services in the early 1980’s. Leaving SLS, he began a private practice for over 40 years centered on representing injured workers and disabled individuals applying for Social Security Disability Benefits. Bob has always committed part of his legal career to either working with SLS or being on the Board based on his belief that attorneys have an obligation to assist those in our community who are the most vulnerable.
Bob has also litigated cases on behalf of the ACLU, served on the Santa Cruz County Mobile Home Commission and the County Civil Service Commission. In his spare time, he is devoted to being with his grandchildren as much as he can.
Harshna McDaniel
Staff Attorney
Harshna is a Staff Attorney focusing on housing matters and advocates for the rights and stability of older adults. She earned her law degree from Monterey College of Law and passed the California Bar in May 2025. Harshna brings more than seven years of legal experience to her role. Before joining SLS, she worked as a legal assistant on a wide range of criminal, plaintiff’s personal injury and other civil cases. Harshna is committed to advancing the mission of Senior Legal Services through professional, compassionate and integrity driven advocacy.
Karin McGuire
Provisionally Licensed Lawyer
Karin McGuire works primarily on cases involving consumer rights and Chapter 7 bankruptcy. Ms. McGuire understands that everyone has a story, and her first priority is listening to her clients to ensure she better understands and serves their needs.
Richard Eisendorf
Director of Development
Rich is a Certified Fund Raising Executive with experience in every phase of program management from situation analysis and new business development to project design, implementation and evaluation. He has raised and managed funds from government agencies, foundations, corporate donors and individuals. Prior to joining Senior Legal Services, Rich managed grant funding for a homeless shelter in Washington, DC, conducted a fund development plan for a cooperative extension in New York, and was chief development officer for an international media development organization. He has served in numerous positions including executive director, chief of party, program manager, and development consultant to international, national and local organizations.

Nicolle Nelson
President
Nicolle (Nicki) Nelson is a solo practitioner who provides legal services in the following areas of law: estate planning, trust administration and probate. Nicki has dedicated many hours to helping Senior Legal Services grow. She served previously as a volunteer for the organization and in November 2020 officially joined the Board.
Victoria MacIntyre
Secretary
Victoria Louise MacIntyre is a Workers’ Compensation Certified Legal Specialist and Partner in the firm of MacIntyre & White, LLP. She graduated from Santa Clara University School of Law and was admitted to the California State Bar in 2003. Victoria’s practice specializes in the defense of Workers’ Compensation matters with emphasis on defending public entities and self-insured employers. She is a dedicated board member for Senior Legal Services having served as the Board Secretary for many years.
Heather Lee
Treasurer
Heather Lee has spent thirty years as an accounting and tax professional, including financial leadership for midsize enterprises and small business consulting. Her experience covers for-profit companies, government, and non-profit organizations with special focus on business consolidations, process improvement, software implementation and integration, and team leadership.
