Other Ways to Give
Senior Legal Services is fortunate to have a relationship with the Community Foundation of Santa Cruz County, which can help us seamlessly facilitate many kinds of gifts. Just contact our Director of Development at development@seniorlegal.org or complete the form below if you would like to make any of the following types of donations.
GIVE FROM AN IRA If you are 70 ½ or above, you can make a qualified charitable distribution (QCD) directly to us through the Community Foundation of Santa Cruz County. The distribution counts toward the Individual Retirement Account owner’s required minimum distribution (RMD). You can also make a one-time distribution to fund Senior Legal Services.
GIVE FROM A DAF You can use your Donor-Advised Funds to make grants to Senior Legal Services.
GIVE STOCKS Donate stock to Senior Legal Services and help your community’s most vulnerable. Gifts of appreciated securities can offer you important tax advantages.
GIVE REAL ESTATE A gift of real estate can give you a tax deduction for the full fair market value of the property—while allowing you to avoid paying capital gains tax. We can help you work out the details.
DONATE A VEHICLE Through the CARS program, you can donate your car, truck, motorcycle, RV, bus, or boat to Senior Legal Services. The process is easy, pick-up is free, and your gift is tax-deductible.
