2025 Radio Interview:

Supervising Attorney, Rosalina Manfreda, describes helping elderly navigate legal issues, including senior benefits, landlord / tenant issues, advanced care directives, and elder abuse, in this 12/12/25 Santa Cruz Voice radio interview.

2024 Impact Report:

In 2024, we achieved significant milestones across our five core programs: Housing, Consumer Protection, Future Planning, Government Benefits, and Elder Abuse and Discrimination. Through these programs, we provided essential legal guidance and support to seniors facing some of life’s most stressful and uncertain challenges. We provided legal services to 828 individuals and families across Santa Cruz and San Benito counties. Additionally, we assisted just under 1,400 tenants and landlords at the Santa Cruz County Law Library. To view or download our 2024 Impact Report, click here.

This article highlights the issue of homelessness in our community, and how the Eviction Defense Collaborative consisting of Senior Legal Services, Conflict Resolution Center, Community Bridges and Tenant Sanctuary offers a powerful model for addressing the need for free legal representation for tenants who are facing eviction.
